MUNICH, Germany — If you can’t beat ‘em, match ‘em.
After condemning the folding hardtops of rival carmakers, BMW has come up with one of its own for its new fourth-generation 3 Series convertible, pictured here officially for the first time ahead of the new German open-top’s planned public premiere at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.
