CANYON LAKE, Texas — A family tragedy that unfolded in a Texas hospital during the fall of 1988 was a private ordeal — without judges, emergency sessions of Congress or the debate raging outside Terri Schiavo’s Florida hospice.
The patient then was a 65-year-old drilling contractor, badly injured in a freak accident at his home. Among the family members keeping vigil at Brooke Army Medical Center was a grieving junior congressman — Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas).
The so-called nonpartisan “American Center for Voting Rights“, is really a GOP front group specifically created to help disseminate disinformation about voting rights.
This fake “Voting Rights” group is actually an extraordinary insult to all the real voting rights groups and advocates who have put their lives on the line and have been killed in the process of trying to achieve true voting rights in America for centuries. Including the thousands of Americans now putting their lives on the line for true voting rights around the world. This ACVR group and their disinformation campaign is an affront to our American troops who are — right now — dying for this very cause.

If Kerry/Edwards ’04 lead attorney and the lead 2004 Communications Director from the DNC got together to create a fake group disseminating disinformation about an election *they* were involved in, would you call them “nonpartisan”? Would you care if they were conducting “tax-exempt” activities at the expense of tax payers? Would you care if they testified 3 days after forming as “experts” before a Congressional Hearing and didn’t identify themselves as being high level Kerry/Edwards/DNC officials?
I smell a rat.
Unconfirmed sources report that The President will name convicted murderer Charles Manson to head the government’s Office for Victims of Crime. 
Check this out, I guess AP has decided that in order to compete in the “news” business, they have to offer a trashy version of the news, as well as “just the facts, ma’am.”.
Honestly, there really isn’t enough interesting stuff going on to provide content for three 24 hour news channels, is there? I mean, when the bulk of their content lately revolves around covering the Michael Jackson Fiasco, or the Scott Peterson drama, it’s enough to make you turn the TV off altogether. And we saw the report that FOX news is biased, with their opinion getting interjected into nearly 70% of their news items… Why would you want to turn that trash on to begin with? The format is almost more comedy than news. You see more of their folks arguing to “let me finish” and rudely talking over each other than actual information on the story they’re purporting to cover. It’s no wonder Americans are so misinformed.
Oh, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all my Irish friends… 
Self-loathing is an extreme form of poor self-esteem. It is the sense of loathing one’s self — a common complaint from people with poor self-esteem. Many people who get to the extreme of self-loathing become self-defeating — even self-sabotaging. This is the prize one wins if one can sustain a really poor self-esteem for long enough while being emotionally abusive to one’s self.

Judge: CA Marriage Laws Unconstitutional
