Nhut was home for the week, we went snowboarding (well, I did, anyway) at Northstar at Tahoe. We stayed at the TONN Ski Club ski house with my friend Eric from work. There are some pictures of the house and snow here. There was some question as to whether Nhut’s assignment in Japan might end early which was cleared up yesterday. He may have to travel to Singapore a few times, but will still be based in Tokyo. I’m still waiting on INS paperwork.
I almost forgot that I got two free meal passes in the mail this week from Sweet Tomatoes because I signed up to be a member of their Club Veg. They have a weekly drawing, and I guess I was drawn this week. Anyway, it’s close by, and Nhut and I like to go there. 
Wow, call me a slacker, I haven’t written anything here in a week. I went to Raleigh, NC on business last week, was there from Sunday through Wednesday morning for a team meeting. My teammates are awesome, I’m going to miss them when I’m in Japan for what was supposed to be a year. I did find out that my COE application was finally submitted on 2/12, which means I’ll be in the US for another month, waiting on paperwork.
It’s Saturday, aka chore day… I had to cut the lawn for the first time this year. Yes, in February for all my friends who are still snowed in back east. Ran the vacauum and did laundry too. I still need to get back to the suit store and pick up the third pair of pants. Nhut is coming home next weekend (YAY!), and I think we’re going to Tahoe. He can sleep all day, while I go snowboarding, and then we’ll hit the casinos for the buffet and obligatory Nhut-gambling. I picked up a couple of Valentine’s day gifts for Nhut on Friday. The flowers can wait till Thursday of next week. I went to see a movie with our friend David last night. We laughed so much because we somehow wound up seeing a movie that was not at all what either of us wanted to see, and of course it was horrible. “Final Destination 2″: my advice? Don’t bother. Looks like it might rain later today, hopefully I can squeeze in a bike ride and a dog walk before then.
Rode my bike into work two days this week. It’s actually been kind of cool in the morning, near 40 degrees, but by the time I ride home it’s almost 60. I think I’ll go for a ride tomorrow morning too.
I picked up two of the three suits on Saturday this weekend, still needed some minor alterations on one pair of pants, so I’ll have to make another trip to pick up the third. I took the dogs for a nice long walk along the Coyote Creek hike & bike trail yesterday, north of Silicon Valley Blvd. As usual, it’s hard to tell who gets more out of the walk, them or me… I made it over there in time to watch the sun going down over the mountains. I’m thinking I should ride my bike to work today, gotta get motivated!
